Lee Kirby — known as 3rdEye — is a UK artist whose work blends street‑art roots with bold characters, geometric forms and vibrant colour. Painting since the late eighties, he’s developed a distinctive visual style that’s energetic, playful and instantly recognisable.
Originally from Somerset, Lee trained in photography in Leicester, using those skills to explore visual storytelling across large‑scale surfaces — from walls and boards to warehouses and community spaces. He’s spent years working with young people and local groups, running creative workshops that make art accessible and empowering.
Travelling through India broadened his artistic perspective, and later moving to Bristol connected him with a thriving community of street artists and illustrators. These collaborations helped shape the evolution of his work and pushed his practice into new territory.
Now based near Stroud in Gloucestershire, 3rdEye continues to refine his craft. His pieces combine organic shapes, symmetry, colour bursts and his trademark characters — artwork that brings life, identity and imagination to any space.
